The Control Systems Integration Test Lead Engineer will provide strategic leadership in the definition, development and deployment of testing tools and methods for harmonised control system solutions. Working within the Propulsion Software Integration environment, this role is accountable for leading the continuous verification of integrated propulsion control systems, ensuring robust system performance and driving resolution of complex technical issues.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of Propulsion Control System Verification & Validation through corporate toolchains.
- Develop, maintain and share best-practice tools, methods, and training to enhance capability within the Propulsion Control System domain.
- Deliver Control Systems Testing across Powertrain for all vehicle platforms.
- Contribute to System Engineering–aligned Control Systems Testing across all programmes in accordance with Product Creation Systems.
- Provide technical support on integration, testing and issue resolution across multiple interconnected components, supported by objective data analysis.
- Perform additional tasks relevant to the role as requested.
Essential:
- Good relevant experience within a Systems Engineering environment, ideally automotive; experience from wider transportation or safety-critical sectors also considered.
- Experience applying Systems Engineering principles to the testing of complex technical systems using structured methodologies.
- Ability to produce clear, high-quality formal documentation.
- Strong collaborative working skills.
- Relevant experience in integrated system testing.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred.
