We are looking for an experienced eMachine Concept FMEA Lead Engineer to join our Advanced Engineering team and play a key role in shaping next-generation electric drive systems. This is a high-impact role focused on Concept & Design FMEA leadership, ensuring reliability, safety, and robustness of electric machine systems from the earliest stages of development.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead Concept FMEA (CFMEA) and support DFMEA delivery
- Identify and mitigate system-level failure modes early in development
- Define system architecture, requirements, and integration plans
- Drive functional and physical interface alignment across eMachine, inverter, and EDU systems
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, integration, safety, and quality teams
- Develop verification strategies derived from customer and functional requirements
We're Looking For:
- 5+ years in Systems Engineering, ideally within automotive
- Strong expertise in electric machines (thermal & electromagnetic behaviour)
- Experience with inverters and Electric Drive Units (EDU)
- Background in FMEA (CFMEA / DFMEA) and structured failure mode avoidance
- Experience in requirements management (DOORS desirable)
- Strong analytical and system architecture capability
