We are seeking a detail-oriented Dimensional / Metrology Engineer with experience in automotive body systems, dimensional validation, and build environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in interpreting metrology data, supporting vehicle builds, and delivering accurate dimensional reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support dimensional engineering activities for BIW (Body-in-White) and exterior trim/lighting components.
  • Interpret and analyse metrology reports, including 3D scan and CMM data, to identify dimensional issues and support root cause analysis.
  • Participate in vehicle builds and manufacturing/build environments to validate part fit, function, and assembly quality.
  • Consolidate dimensional and build data accurately and provide clear reports and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Support gauge and fixture validation, ensuring measurement systems are effective and reliable.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, quality, manufacturing, and supplier teams to resolve dimensional concerns.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with BIW and exterior trim/lighting parts in an automotive environment.
  • Strong experience interpreting metrology reports (Scan & CMM).
  • Hands-on experience supporting vehicle builds/manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to consolidate, analyse, and communicate technical data effectively.
  • Understanding of gauge and fixture principles and validation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, along with Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Good understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Experience with DVA tools, VisVSA, or 3DCS.
  • Experience using Zeiss GOM Inspect software.
  • Knowledge of MSA / Gauge R&R studies.
