At Affluent Co, we partner with ambitious brands to create high-performance creative that doesn’t just look exceptional — it drives measurable growth. As a creative agency built for modern consumer brands, we blend strategy, production, and performance insight to deliver work that scales.
As we continue to grow, we’re hiring a Senior Video Editor to elevate the creative and technical standard across all D2C video output - acting as the benchmark for performance-led creative. This role is a key step toward a future Post Production Manager position, helping define both the creative bar and the operational systems behind a high-performing post-production team.
If you’re an editor who combines sharp creative instinct with a deep understanding of what converts, this is an opportunity to shape both the work and the way it’s made.
The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Video Editor who sets the standard for what great D2C performance creativity looks like. You’ll be responsible for ensuring every asset - from short-form video to static - reflects best-in-class storytelling, technical execution, and performance thinking. You will define and refine output quality, while also improving the systems and workflows that enable scale. This includes mentoring junior editors, introducing smarter processes, and helping integrate new tools (including AI) into production. This is a role for someone ready to step into creative leadership - balancing craft, efficiency, and performance insight - with a clear path toward managing the full post-production function.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the final creative gatekeeper for all content before it reaches paid media - ensuring consistency across creative, technical execution, and performance intent.
- Edit and optimize social-first video ads (Meta, TikTok, YouTube), with strong focus on hooks, pacing, storytelling, and retention.
- Collaborate with Creative Strategists and Producers to align edits with campaign data, testing frameworks, and KPIs.
- Mentor and develop junior editors through structured feedback, raising overall team quality and consistency.
- Help define and refine post-production workflows, file management systems, and version control processes.
- Introduce and experiment with AI-assisted editing tools to improve speed, scalability, and creative output.
- Maintain clean, structured archival systems to ensure all assets are easily accessible and trackable.
- Contribute actively to creative reviews - bringing ideas to improve storytelling, sound design, and performance impact.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years’ experience in video editing within agency, D2C, or social-first environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, with strong working knowledge of After Effects.
- Familiarity with emerging AI tools (e.g. Runway, Veo, Adobe Sensei) and interest in integrating them into workflows.
- Strong understanding of social media performance - what drives engagement, conversion, and retention.
- Exceptional creative eye with high attention to detail and technical precision.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Confident communicator, able to collaborate across creative, strategy, and production teams.
- Clear ambition to move into a leadership role - shaping both output and process.
Attitude
You’re a detail-driven creative with an operational mindset. You care about making work that performs - and about building the systems that make great work repeatable. You’re naturally curious, always looking for ways to improve how things are done - whether that’s refining an edit, streamlining a workflow, or testing new tools. You take ownership of quality, and you’re motivated by the opportunity to raise the standard across a team.
Benefits
- Work with a high-growth portfolio of ambitious, premium consumer brands.
- Be part of a performance-driven creative team pushing industry standards.
- 26 days paid holiday (plus public holidays).
- Extra day off for your birthday.
- Private health scheme.
- Company pension plan.
- Clear progression path to Post Production Manager.
- Structured training and development.
- Team off-sites, creative workshops, and collaborative sessions.
- A culture built on creativity, ownership, and continuous improvement.
