We acquire, retain, and expand merchant relationships across eCommerce, in-store, telesales, and the Affirm app. The team leads onboarding, relationship management, and performance optimisation to help partners succeed. We deliver value-added solutions, drive adoption, and support long-term business growth by connecting merchants and consumers through Affirm's products.
About the role: As a Small Business Account Executive I, you'll fuel Affirm's UK growth by acquiring and onboarding small and mid-sized merchants. You'll own a high-volume pipeline end to end, introducing merchants to Affirm's buy now, pay later products and helping them grow through flexible, honest financing.
What you'll do:
- Own the full sales cycle: prospect, qualify, pitch, negotiate, and close new SMB merchant partnerships across the UK market.
- Build and manage a healthy, high-volume pipeline, consistently meeting and exceeding monthly and quarterly quota.
- Run consultative conversations with founders, owners, and decision-makers, tailoring Affirm's value proposition to each merchant's goals.
- Drive merchant activation and early adoption, partnering with onboarding and account management teams to ensure a smooth launch.
- Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and activity data in the CRM.
- Act as a voice of the UK SMB market internally, sharing feedback with Product, Marketing, and Partnerships to improve our offering.
What we look for:
- 3+ years of consultative, quota-carrying sales experience, ideally in fintech, SaaS, payments, or retail technology.
- 2+ years of experience selling into the UK market, with a strong understanding of the SMB merchant landscape.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable managing a high volume of deals and navigating ambiguity in a fast-moving environment.
- A collaborative, resilient, and growth-minded approach; understanding of eCommerce, in-store technology, and payments ecosystems is a plus.
Base Pay Grade - D Equity Grade - 3 Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills. For sales roles, the range provided is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, which includes the annual base pay and the sales incentive target. Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidised medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents). In addition, the employees may be eligible for equity rewards offered by Affirm Holdings, Inc. (parent company). GBR On Target Earnings per year including base and variable components: £92,000 - £112,000.
