Join to apply for the Group Product Management Manager role at Affirm. Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest. Our mission to deliver honest financial products that improve lives extends beyond borders. Consumers across the globe need safe, transparent financing. Our retail partners need Affirm to be there for them, wherever that might be. To help achieve this vision, we are expanding our product lines and becoming a global company.
The International team is responsible for growing Affirm's presence and performance with merchants across the globe and building the products and capabilities that enable Affirm to enter into new verticals and markets. As a Lead Product Manager on the International team, you will drive Affirm's expansion and growth in the UK and new international markets – from iterating on the product vision, refining the product strategy, developing a roadmap, and leading execution.
In this role, you will scale and manage a team of Product Managers owning surface areas across our Purchase Experiences for the UK and new markets, partnering closely with a broad set of cross-functional teams to drive international strategy and outcomes across Affirm's largest strategic partners. Effective stakeholder management and ability to successfully navigate organizational dynamics are a must for success. You should be commercially minded, be high agency with a bias towards action, and comfortable having technical conversations and opinions.
What You'll Do
- Drive the execution, growth, and scale of Affirm in the United Kingdom and new international markets.
- Scale and manage a team of Product Managers, driving a high empowerment and bar-raising culture.
- Drive success metrics by shipping high impact work that meaningfully moves the needle for Affirm's business and customers.
- Partner effectively with engineering teams across the organization to drive product development and prioritization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (such as Revenue, Legal, Compliance, Credit, Fraud, etc.) to shape your product roadmap and incorporate legal, governance and regulatory oversight into your products.
- Understand Affirm users and merchants at a deep level -- what's important to them, what drives their decision making, why they love Affirm, and what they wish we could do better.
- Identify and create the experiences that make it seamless for strategic partners, platforms, and key merchants to deliver an incredible buy now, pay later experience to consumers.
What We Look For
- This isn’t your first rodeo. You’ve directly managed technical software products from kick-off to post-launch – driving meaningful business impact that you can speak to.
- You have experience working on consumer technology products in the UK or Europe. Bonus points if it is a fintech product, even more bonus points if it is a BNPL product.
- You have managed a high performing team of product managers.
- You’re equally comfortable diving into technical details with an engineer, iterating on a Figma with a designer, and breaking down a funnel with a data analyst.
- You have the discipline, organizational skills, and interpersonal communication skills necessary to navigate complex organizational dynamics – you have specific examples of times when you’ve secured a decision from a broad group of senior stakeholders.
- You’ve worked in an environment where you were reliant on engineering teams outside of your direct purview and were able to effectively influence them to prioritize and build what you needed for your product.
- You’re the kind of person who cares about getting things done. You have a bias towards action and can effectively navigate obstacles and blockers.
- You can turn incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs into a solid action plan.
- You have direct experience shipping high-quality products on time.
- You feel comfortable jumping into the commercial aspects of product development – you’re able to pitch, contribute to negotiations, and give feedback on contracts.
