Are you enthusiastic about supporting the mental health and well-being of children and young people? Affinity Workforce Solutions are supporting The Skills Hub and the Pride Academy, an outstanding special school for pupils aged 5 to 19 with a wide range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The Skills Hub is a co-educational Alternative Provision in the London Borough of Hillingdon for pupils who cannot attend mainstream school for a variety of reasons, including those at risk of permanent exclusion.

The role involves supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups in a classroom setting and, where appropriate, running activities outside the classroom. You will work alongside the class teacher to ensure the right support is in place for the students and may be involved in a range of schools across West Drayton with the option to progress onto contract with the right school.

Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 or small group basis.
  • Assist with planning and delivering activities that support pupils’ mental health, wellbeing and SEN needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure appropriate support is in place for students.
  • Be involved in running activities for pupils outside the classroom when needed.
  • Support across multiple schools in West Drayton with potential for longer-term opportunities.
Benefits:
  • You will be paid a competitive daily wage based on experience.
  • Dedicated consultant allocated to support you with questions or concerns.
  • Support in writing CVs and job applications.
  • Fast, effective compliance service.
  • £200 for any successful referral of Teachers and £100 for Teaching Assistants!
  • You will receive free, up-to-date safeguarding training.
  • Training workshops and CPD courses for professional development.
Pay and Hours:

This position is on a full-time basis and offers full support and guidance. There are opportunities to complete additional training while in the role. Pay is £90-£124 per day, based on experience. This would be a great opportunity for someone with experience supporting pupils in school or an alternative setting, but we will also consider candidates without this experience.
