Affinity Workforce Solutions are looking for an experienced SEN Qualified Teachers to work in a SEN School. We welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers or final year students. We are seeking an enthusiastic teacher who would be excited to teach a modified curriculum to an amazing group of individuals, throughout different key stages/specialisms.

Ideal Candidate

  • QTS
  • Can teach primary/secondary pupils and parents
  • Knowledge of Primary/secondary age curriculum expectations
  • Be able to teach a variety of subject including English and Maths
  • Be highly organised with excellent communication skills
  • Have a desire to work with, inspire and support children from all needs and backgrounds
  • Have excellent behaviour management skills
  • Promote the school\’s vision and aims positively, and use effective strategies to monitor motivation and morale.
  • Understand the expectations against the Teachers Standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Planning lessons and activities for whole class learning and group learning
  • Supporting SEND children with their work in a class setting
  • Managing difficult behaviours and implementing the school behaviour policy
  • Safeguarding vulnerable pupils
  • Possible supervising on lunch and break times
  • Supporting and managing teaching assistants within the classroom
  • Building relationships with staff and pupils
  • Collecting evidence of pupils work to support their assessments
  • Feedback to the relevant member of staff about the pupils progress
  • To have pastoral responsibility for a group of pupils
  • Potentially lead in a subject area
  • Ensure a team approach to education with stakeholders such as parents and carers
