Affinity Partnerships are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEMH Specialist Practitioner to join our expanding team across our specialist SEND settings. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children and young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, autism and associated challenges. Working across multiple sites, you will play a key role in supporting pupils, staff and families to overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes.
- Assess pupils' SEMH needs and develop targeted intervention strategies
- Deliver 1:1 and small group therapeutic and behavioural support
- Support schools in implementing effective behaviour and inclusion strategies
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs and leadership teams
- Provide advice and training to staff on SEMH best practice
- Contribute to EHCP targets, reviews and progress monitoring
- Liaise with parents, carers and external professionals (e.g. CAMHS, social care)
- Promote a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
