We are looking for a passionate practitioner who can deliver engaging, high quality Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about inspiring young people and contributing to a collaborative and forward thinking department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering effective Science lessons for KS3 and KS4
  • Assessing, marking, and providing constructive feedback to support pupil progress
  • Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom management
  • Preparing lessons and resources that meet the needs of all learners
  • Attending Parents' Evenings and contributing to wider school events
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues within the department

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or strong science knowledge as a cover supervisor
  • Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
  • Strong subject knowledge and commitment to high quality teaching and learning
  • Ability to plan engaging lessons and manage workload effectively
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Experience working in a large secondary school (beneficial but not essential)
