A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated and committed Science Teacher to join our large and vibrant secondary school. We are looking for a passionate practitioner who can deliver engaging, high quality Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about inspiring young people and contributing to a collaborative and forward thinking department.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering effective Science lessons for KS3 and KS4
- Assessing, marking, and providing constructive feedback to support pupil progress
- Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom management
- Preparing lessons and resources that meet the needs of all learners
- Attending Parents' Evenings and contributing to wider school events
- Working collaboratively with colleagues within the department
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or strong science knowledge as a cover supervisor
- Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
- Strong subject knowledge and commitment to high quality teaching and learning
- Ability to plan engaging lessons and manage workload effectively
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Experience working in a large secondary school (beneficial but not essential)
