Affinity Partnerships are seeking a passionate and skilled English Teacher to take on the additional responsibility of Literacy Lead within a thriving, community focused academy. In this dual role, you will lead the school's evidence based literacy strategy, ensuring all pupils can fully access a challenging, knowledge rich curriculum.
Working collaboratively with Subject Leaders and the Senior Leadership Team, you will:
- Analyse whole school literacy data to inform priorities
- Deliver high quality CPD and provide coaching to develop staff expertise
- Model exceptional classroom practice and support colleagues to embed disciplinary literacy across all subjects
- Coordinate targeted reading and literacy interventions
- Drive initiatives that build a strong reading culture across the school

Qualifications
- Qualified Teachers Status.
- Have a sound understanding of Secondary Education.
- Have excellent literacy, Numeracy, and communication skills.
- Have confidence supporting the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.
- Have experience of supporting children in all aspects of the curriculum.
- Will be a team player, as well as using their initiative and good sense of humour.
- Have experience of working with children with a range of additional needs including Autism, Speech and language difficulties and other SEND students, both in small groups and 1:1.
- Have a positive approach and be flexible to the demands of the job.
