What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with young people (e.g. in education, youth work, coaching, or similar)
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Confidence in delivering pre‑set lesson plans and supervising students
  • A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to adapt
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

Your Role as a Cover Supervisor

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of teaching staff. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task
  • Delivering pre‑prepared lesson plans across a range of subjects and year groups
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Supporting students with their learning and encouraging engagement
  • Reporting back to teaching staff on student progress and classroom activity
  • Building rapport with students and staff across different school settings
