Affinity Workforce is working in partnership with primary schools and Multi Academy Trusts in Bicester, and we are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants and SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils across a range of needs and abilities. We have a high demand for staff, offering both flexible day to day work and longer term placements. Whether you're looking for general classroom support, 1:1 SEN roles, or something more consistent, we can help find the right opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 or small group basis
  • Assisting pupils with learning, engagement, and classroom activities
  • Providing additional support to pupils with Special Educational Needs where required
  • Helping to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
  • Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to support learning plans and EHCPs
  • Encouraging independence, engagement, and positive behaviour
  • Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people (essential)
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN (desirable)
  • Previous school or educational setting experience (preferred)
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach
  • Reliability and strong communication skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
