The Opportunity: We are Monarch Education, a leading Education Recruitment provider specialising in temporary staffing for Primary, Secondary and Special Educational Needs schools. We are looking to add an Managing Consultant to lead our Secondary Team in Birmingham across the wider midlands region! The Birmingham office is a large, vibrant and high-performing team with passion and drive to succeed and deliver first-class services to our candidates and clients. You will manage your own recruitment business across Coventry, specialising in the Secondary Education Recruitment Sector, with Team Leader responsibilities for the wider Secondary Team in Birmingham (operating across Monarch\’s Midlands region). Key responsibilities: Managing the end-to-end recruitment process for all Teaching, TA and Support Staff roles across Secondary Schools in Coventry (based out of Birmingham). Build and nurture strong relationships with both new and existing clients, ensuring that their staffing needs are met efficiently and effectively. Pro-active business development – effective market-mapping to identify new contacts and opportunities to further increase Revenue. Undertake effective candidate attraction and management strategies to ensure that you are engaging with and placing high-quality candidates. To work collaboratively with your colleagues in your team and also across the wider Monarch and Affinity Group. Lead a Team of Secondary Consultants – providing day to day support, coaching and operational rigour. Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure the team have clear targets, which are reviewed regularly and to support with any additional training needs that have been identified. Support the Operations Manager with accurate reporting of figures both daily, weekly and monthly. Be a visible leader across the wider Monarch Team in Birmingham, and proactively engaging with clients to support more junior members of staff with business development. What you will need to succeed: A minimum of two years\’ experience within the Recruitment Industry – ideally within Education Recruitment. Some experience already in a Team Leader or Managing Consultant capacity would also be desirable. A proven track record in new business development – securing new schools. The ability to maintain existing relationships and maximise revenue from existing clients. Commerciality – identifying leads from both schools and candidates and effectively translating that into new business meetings and securing new work. Excellent candidate management and engagement experience. A proven track record in achieving KPI and Revenue Targets. The ability to work collaboratively and to work closely with the team to achieve goals. Excellent organisation and communication skills. The ability to identify training needs and to be proactive in creating a plan of action in how to action this across the team. What you will get in return: Competitive Base Salary.
