Affinity Workforce Solutions are proud to be supporting a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Gloucester seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This rewarding role involves working closely with pupils across both mainstream and SEN settings, providing tailored support to help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Each child is unique, and your approach will be adapted to meet their individual needs. You will work alongside classroom teachers and the SENCO to help pupils achieve their personalised learning goals, often through 1:1 support and small group interventions.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting teachers with lessons and classroom activities
- Helping pupils with their learning, both one-to-one and in small groups
- Encouraging children’s development through play and structured tasks
- Keeping the classroom tidy and ready for learning
- Observing and sharing feedback on pupil progress with teaching staff
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Passionate about working with children and being creative in your approach
- Confident managing behaviour and supporting emotional wellbeing
- Experience leading a class or group in the absence of a teacher
- Emotionally resilient and calm under pressure
- Friendly, approachable, and committed to inclusive education
- Awareness or experience of supporting individuals with SEN
