Affinity Workforce Solutions are seeking an experienced SEN Qualified Teacher to join a dedicated SEN School. We welcome applications from newly qualified teachers or final year students and are looking for an enthusiastic teacher who will indulge a modified curriculum for an amazing group of individuals across different key stages and specialisms.
Qualifications
- QTS
- Can teach primary and secondary pupils and parents
- Knowledge of primary/secondary age curriculum expectations
- Be able to teach a variety of subjects including English and Maths
- Highly organised with excellent communication skills
- Desire to work with, inspire and support children from all needs and backgrounds
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- Promote the school's vision and aims positively and use effective strategies to monitor motivation and morale
- Understand the expectations against the Teachers Standards
Responsibilities
- Planning lessons and activities for whole class and group learning
- Supporting SEND children with their work in a class setting
- Managing difficult behaviours and implementing the school behaviour policy
- Safeguarding vulnerable pupils
- Possible supervising on lunch and break times
- Supporting and managing teaching assistants within the classroom
- Building relationships with staff and pupils
- Collecting evidence of pupils work to support their assessments
- Feedback to the relevant member of staff about the pupils progress
- Pastoral responsibility for a group of pupils
- Potentially lead in a subject area
- Ensure a team approach to education with stakeholders such as parents and carers
