The predicted salary is between 42000 - 84000 £ per year.

In this role you will report to the Water Quality Manager (Compliance & Regulation) within Water Quality Services. You will be responsible for managing our Drinking Water Safety Plans (DWSP), identifying hazards to water quality at all stages of the supply system (from catchment to consumer) and detailing the control and mitigation measures we have in place. Industry experience in water treatment and distribution is a necessity and you will be working with colleagues across the business, including site visits, to validate our plans and ensure they are as comprehensive as possible.

The purpose of the role is to work collaboratively as part of the Compliance & Regulation team within Water Quality Services to ensure that all the Company’s regulatory obligations with respect to water quality are delivered. Each of our supply systems will be subject to ongoing risk assessment and the assessments will be submitted to the quality regulator (DWI) monthly. Our DWSP will incorporate all relevant guidance from DWI and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • A working knowledge of water treatment processes and possible effects on water quality
  • A working knowledge of network activities and possible effects on water quality
  • Able to utilise Microsoft software (Excel, Access etc.) and Company IT systems (Sample Manager, GIS, MAXIMO, HiAffinity etc.) to produce data reports and monitor water quality
