Affinity Water has an exciting opportunity to become a Commercial Sampler within Affinity Water working within our Scientific Services Commercial Team.

The purpose of this role is to help support the growth of existing commercial contracts and perform routine and non-routine sampling and compliance tasks within the Scientific Services Commercial team. The team undertake legionella monitoring and various other water quality sampling activities. The role involves working alone on the day-to-day collection of water samples under strict quality control procedures from commercial premises that must meet UKAS (DWTS) requirements. The role will also involve working in partnership with the sampler centre and laboratory teams across the business. Full training will be provided.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Adherence to all UKAS, DWI, and LCA procedures and instructions at all times.
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills to balance competing obligations and deliver performance expectations.
  • Liaise with customers and provide excellent customer service at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A willingness to learn more about keeping water systems safe and about the chemical treatment solutions to eradicate bacterial contamination.

What you’ll need:

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow protocols accurately.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Water Industry Experience (Desirable, not essential).
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence.

  • Hours of work: 08:30am - 16:30pm (Mon - Thurs) 08:30am - 16:00pm (Friday).
