Affinity Water is seeking to recruit a Project Management Office Manager . This pivotal role within the new Smart Metering team involves providing governance and oversight for the programme to ensure effective and efficient delivery, aligning with the business objectives for smart metering deployment and benefits realization.
Principal Accountabilities
The smart metering programme aims to support environmental and water conservation goals amid population growth. It includes initiatives such as leakage reduction, smart metering, and water efficiency campaigns.
- Oversee delivery and outputs of the key workstreams across the smart metering programme.
- Provide regular reports on progress and recommend changes to support business outcomes.
- Engage proactively with workstream leads and stakeholders to advance delivery, report outputs, and identify risks.
- Implement effective change control processes to manage impacts on people, processes, or systems.
- Track costs and outputs accurately, manage forecasts and deviations to keep the programme on track.
- Ensure consistency in adhering to project management principles and lifecycle across workstreams.
What You Need
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience in a relevant subject.
- Senior project management experience, especially with complex projects and strategic change initiatives.
Personal Skills
- Ability to drive and embed change, influence across organizational boundaries, and engage diverse cultures and politics.
- Highly performance-driven with strong planning, monitoring, and action-taking skills.
- Adaptable to flexible environments with dynamic workloads.
