We are looking for a Paralegal on a short term basis to join our legal team in Hatfield. You will be helping the team with their busy and varied workload which offers the legal expertise that enables all of our employees to deliver high performance to our customers, shareholders and stakeholders within a fast-paced, high profile, regulated, complex organisation.

Responsibilities include:
- Assist lawyers within the legal team with a broad variety of legal tasks including legal research, reviewing correspondence and drafting documents across an array of legal practice areas including contract/commercial, property, litigation and regulatory matters;
- Deal with legal matters and queries from the business proactively and independently, under the guidance and supervision of the legal team’s qualified solicitors;
- Maintaining and operating efficient administrative systems to support the legal team;
- Drive the digitisation of paper records, property deeds and easements;
- Assist with the first registration of land titles including reviewing title deeds and assimilating epitomes of title;
- Manage the digital and hard copy execution and signature process for all contracts and other legally executed documents and keep well-organised records;
- Be able to confidently use Land Registry Portal and Mapsearch for accessing site and land data and submitting land registry searches as needed;
- Work across all areas of the legal team’s practice, proactively identify areas for efficiencies, better processes and improved ways of collaborative working.
Experience required:
- 2:1 law degree / LPC qualification
- Experience of working in a fast-paced legal environment
- Excellent legal analytical skills and a close attention to detail
- A high-degree of initiative and the ability to work well under pressure
- Strong time management, prioritisation and organisational skills
- Proficient in a range of IT software (including MS Office)
Additional Information:
- Temporary assignment - immediately available
- Salary up to £30,000 per annum
- Hybrid role, with the expectations of a minimum two days a week in the office in Hatfield
- Annual leave from 26 days rising with length of service, and the option to purchase up to 5 extra days.
