Affinity Water are looking for talented and driven individuals to join us as Leakage Control Technicians. This is a varied and challenging role within Asset Strategy, detecting leakage and unaccounted-for water in our network whilst providing an excellent experience to Affinity Water customers. Successful candidates will ensure that work is carried out safely and in compliance with company procedures and will take ownership within assigned District Metered Areas (DMAs) to deliver set leakage targets.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carry out leakage detection surveys across our water mains network using various detection techniques across the Central company area.
- Work collaboratively with our internal customers to understand and facilitate their requirements.
- Work fully independently and use your own initiative to solve problems in the field and find effective solutions.
- Detect leakage and unaccounted for water in our network safely making sure that all hazards are reported daily and in real time.
- Communicate with other departments on any network corrections or when we raise certain work to be repaired.
Requirements:
- Experienced in the use of leakage equipment and tools.
- Experienced in the use of all leakage methodologies and techniques.
- Experienced in the use of all leakage systems such as Waternet and GIS.
- This role involves a fair amount of physical activity including a lot of walking, bending and some lifting of heavy objects.
- Keen hearing is essential to identify noises that could indicate a leak.
- Must hold a full driving licence.
