As a Junior Property Lawyer, you will be reporting to the Senior Property Counsel; as an integral part of a collaborative legal team supporting a diverse range of commercial and residential property matters. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects and help refine legal processes, while building strong working relationships across our Estates and Assets teams and wider business.
You’ll be advising on all aspects of property law, from asset disposals and leases to complex infrastructure schemes and telecommunications matters. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your legal knowledge in a fast-paced, regulated environment that impacts millions of people daily.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver strategic and pragmatic legal advice on commercial and residential property matters, including agricultural land and protected tenancies
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of property documents including leases, easements, licences, transfers and planning agreements
- Support real estate strategy execution, including land disposals, estate development, and registration of unregistered land
- Advise on property disputes and legal risks, particularly relating to infrastructure and telecoms (e.g. wayleaves, Code rights)
- Contribute to major infrastructure projects (e.g. DCOs and Compulsory Purchase Orders)
- Collaborate with legal colleagues on cross-functional and project-based work
- Liaise with external legal advisors and land agents to ensure efficient and compliant transactions
What We’re Looking For
- A 2:1 law degree (or equivalent)
- Completion of the Legal Practice Course or Solicitors Qualifying Examination (or equivalent)
- 1–3 years’ PQE with demonstrable property/real estate legal experience (either in-house or private practice)
- Familiarity with planning, property litigation, utilities/infrastructure, telecoms or construction sectors (desirable but not essential)

- Salary £45,000 – £60,000 per annum
- Hybrid role, with the expectations of a minimum two days a week in the office in Hatfield
