Affinity Water is looking for a Stakeholder Engagement Lead to join our Water Resources Management Planning (WRMP) and Public Affairs team. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of water security across our region. For over 175 years, we’ve been committed to supplying high-quality drinking water to our communities. As part of our team, you’ll turn complex technical information from our WRMP and Drought Plan into clear, compelling communications for a wide range of audiences. You’ll also work closely with our Public Affairs team to help strengthen relationships with stakeholders and government, influencing policy and driving meaningful change in a critical area for our customers and the environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Translating technical water resources and drought planning information into engaging content for internal and external audiences.
- Working with government and stakeholders to help shape Affinity Water’s policy and regulatory positions.
- Managing customer consultations for the WRMP and Drought Plan.
- Producing and coordinating technical documents, consultation summaries, and supporting materials.
- Creating figures, tables, and visual assets for WRMP and Drought Plan publications.
- Developing communications materials including press releases, social media content, video scripts, podcasts, and website updates.
- Ensuring consistent messaging across channels and departments.
- Representing Affinity Water at regional groups such as Water Resources South East (WRSE) and Water Resources East (WRE).
- Supporting the delivery of our internal communications and engagement strategy.
What you’ll bring:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to make complex information relatable and accessible.
- Confidence engaging with policy officials and understanding government policy frameworks.
- Experience creating high-quality written and visual content.
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- A proactive, flexible approach and enthusiasm for taking on new challenges.
- Good working knowledge of Office 365.
