As part of our ongoing digital transformation journey, we’re looking for a passionate Test Analyst to help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of the technology solutions we deliver. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about testing, has a strong quality mindset, and enjoys getting hands-on to make sure solutions meet business, regulatory, and customer expectations.
You’ll play a key role in embedding quality throughout the delivery lifecycle, working closely with developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and third-party partners to identify risks, solve challenges, and deliver robust solutions.
What you’ll be doing
- Plan, create, and execute functional and non-functional testing activities in line with Affinity Water’s testing frameworks and industry best practice.
- Develop and maintain Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test Scripts to support successful delivery.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, suppliers, and delivery partners to coordinate testing and resolve defects.
- Review requirements, identify gaps or ambiguity, and support teams in delivering high-quality solutions.
- Manage defects through to resolution, providing clear impact assessments and progress updates.
- Capture and report quality metrics, test progress, and Test Completion Reports to key stakeholders.
- Ensure testing activities align with governance, controls, and assurance processes.
- Support Agile and hybrid delivery approaches, promoting quality at every stage of the development lifecycle.
- Apply both shift-left and shift-right testing approaches, identifying risks early and using insights from live systems to drive continuous improvement.
- Continue to develop your skills by learning and applying test automation tools.
You’ll be a strong communicator who can confidently explain testing challenges, risks, and quality outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience working as a Test Analyst (4+ years).
- A strong technical background with experience across system testing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Experience working within both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
- Experience using test and defect management tools such as Azure DevOps or JIRA.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to see the bigger picture.
- Confidence working independently while collaborating effectively within wider delivery teams.
- A willingness to learn and work with test automation tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- ISTQB Foundation or Intermediate certification (or equivalent experience).
