As an Asset Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering capital investment plans for storage and non-infrastructure assets. You will also help shape our future investment strategies. Your primary focus will be leading on plans for storage and process structure work packages, but your role may extend to other relevant asset classes. You will work collaboratively with Capital Delivery and Customer Delivery leaders to evaluate information and optimise our current and future investment plans. Our goal is to deliver best value for our customers whilst balancing cost, risk, and performance. The Asset Planning function drives robust investment planning to ensure projects meet business needs and deliver the intended benefits. Asset Planning Engineers develop sustainable and best-value investment for non-infrastructure assets, including reservoirs, contact tanks, water towers, and in-treatment process structures.
Responsibilities
- Lead on plans for storage and process structure work packages and contribute to investment planning for storage and non-infrastructure assets.
- Collaborate with Capital Delivery and Customer Delivery leaders to evaluate information and optimise current and future investment plans.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent in construction, civil engineering, or related discipline.
- Proven experience in an engineering role and application of technical skills.
- Understanding of asset management processes and whole life costing.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data.
- High level of competency in data capture and management.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Full UK Driving License.
