Our Water Resources Planning team is helping to steer Affinity Water through its largest and most interesting challenges, identifying, defining and promoting the demand management and new infrastructure schemes that are needed to let the business adapt to the challenges of environmental need, climate change and growth.
As an Asset Manager, you will join our Water Resources Planning team and lead the development and implementation of the Water Demand Strategy (all elements, including providing strategy outputs for our Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP)), driving demand reductions aligned with strategic commitments, covering all three Affinity Water supply regions.
In this role, you will be the key member of the Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP) team contributing to the production and delivery of our statutory WRMP and our major water resource development schemes. You will also be asked to actively participate and contribute to Affinity Water’s involvement in regional water resources planning.
What you need:
- Educated to degree level (BSc) or Masters (MSc) in a relevant discipline.
- Experience of Water Resources Management Planning is essential, including demand forecasting, strategic planning and policy development.
- Proven track record in strategic planning, analysis and forecasting techniques related to water demand and consumption.
- Familiarity with water resource systems, including water supply infrastructure, distribution networks and storage facilities, to understand the dynamics of water demand and supply.
- Ability to summarise technical information and effectively support briefing of senior leaders to support decision making.
