The predicted salary is between 42000 - 60000 £ per year.
As the Regional Maintenance Manager, you will act as a Building Surveyor and take full ownership of all Estates maintenance and the management of contractors and projects alike in a designated operational area. Success will be achieved through the prioritisation and coordination of work from various sources i.e. Estates Helpdesk driven work (CAFM), demand from operational and non-operational stakeholders, H&S reports and general Land and Property enquiries. The role will involve working in a designated Affinity Water area but will offer support to the entire portfolio as required. Business travel is required by circumstance, potentially at any time and in all weathers. The role requires that you are available to be called upon outside of normal working hours as required.
Key Responsibilities of Building Surveyor
- Managing maintenance and improvement works inclusive of scheduling and planning to sites, buildings and structures across multiple sites.
- Ensuring the Affinity Water Health & Safety Policy is adhered to and any legislative matters are promptly escalated to the Health and Safety department.
- Ensuring all work complies with current planning, building and water quality standards as well as internal company standards/policies.
- Ensuring Estate assets are managed and maintained to an agreed standard.
- Managing existing service providers to ensure the performance and delivery of work meets the level of contractually agreed service and quality of workmanship.
- Being responsible for design and preparation of specifications for maintenance work.
- Providing out of hours support/response to emergency/reactive Estates issues as required.
- Assist with the training and development of departmental new starters.
Key Requirements
- Appropriately qualified or experienced in building surveying and or construction and hard and soft maintenance.
- Contract management experience.
- Experience in production operations.
- Knowledge of water industry, company processes and operational systems.
- Knowledge of statutory control planning and building regulations.
- The ability to work under pressure on multiple tasks whilst applying existing knowledge to unknown areas.
- Communication and interpersonal skills including listening, relationship building, establishing empathy and demonstrating awareness of issues in a calm and polite manner.
- Full, clean and current UK driving licence.
