About the Role
Affinity Water is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Pension and Benefits Advisor to join our Payroll Team on a 24 month FTC on a part time basis (3 days per week). This hands-on role offers exposure to multiple pension schemes and benefit platforms, including Aviva, Hymans, Tap4Perks, and Salary Finance, and provides the opportunity to deliver high-quality pension and benefits administration while supporting employees and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Pensions
- Deliver end-to-end pension administration for joiners, leavers, retirements, transfers, and life events.
- Manage pension schedules and reconciliations for both Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution schemes.
- Partner with HR, Payroll, Trustees, and external providers to ensure smooth and compliant operations.
- Support annual pension activities, including statements, audits, revaluations, and trustee reporting.
- Maintain accurate records, systems, and audit-ready documentation.
- Support auto-enrolment cycles and the ongoing transition to Aviva.
- Benefits
- Manage and monitor Tap4Perks and Salary Finance platforms.
- Produce monthly benefits and payroll reports, reconciling data and resolving discrepancies.
- Support holiday purchase schemes, P11D healthcare reporting, and general employee benefit queries.
- Collaborate with Reward Gateway to enhance employee engagement with benefits.
Person Specification
- A minimum of 5 years experience in pensions administration, with a broad understanding of employee benefits.
- Excellent Excel skills, with daily use for data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Clear communicator with a customer-focused, advisory mindset.
- Knowledge of UK pension legislation and HMRC requirements (desirable).
Benefits:
- Salary: £36,000 pro rata (salary dependant on skills and experience)
- Hours: Flexible part-time role, 21 hours per week
