About the Role
We are looking for a talented, driven and flexible Leakage Technician to join our Customer Delivery team at Affinity Water. This is a varied, hands-on role where you will take ownership of leakage detection across 3,000km of critical trunk mains, helping to protect water resources and deliver an excellent service to our customers. Working independently in the field, you will play a vital role in identifying leaks, supporting incident response, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure efficient and safe operations.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Carrying out leakage detection surveys across the trunk mains network using advanced techniques.
- Using mapping, telemetry and digital tools (e.g. GIS, Waternet) to enhance survey accuracy.
- Responding to incidents and supporting repair teams with clear diagnostics.
- Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure effective issue resolution.
- Managing your own workload, working independently and using initiative in the field.
- Reporting and raising jobs through works management systems.
- Maintaining high safety, environmental and water quality standards at all times.
- Supporting wider team targets and assisting colleagues when needed.
What We Are Looking For:
Essential:- Proven experience using leakage detection equipment, methodologies and systems.
- Strong understanding of safe working practices.
- Knowledge of water hygiene standards.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Experience with GIS or Waternet systems.
- Understanding of hydraulic models.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and mobile apps.
