Job Overview

Support workers with Affinity Trust help people live independently, build life skills, and engage in the community.

Location & Hours

Location: Wakefield Outreach. Hours: 7:30am–9:00pm. Bank hours per week.

Compensation

Hourly rate: £12.75 per hour.

Training & Benefits

Full training provided. We will apply and pay for your enhanced DBS.

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Access to your own vehicle for travel within Wakefield, Pontefract, and Featherstone.
  • No sponsorship.
  • Complete an enhanced DBS check (employer will submit and pay).

Responsibilities

  • Support daily life skills, cooking, home maintenance, food provision, attending appointments, and new experiences.
  • Adapt support to each person’s daily needs and wishes.
  • Encourage independent decision making, big and small.
  • Help individuals work independently wherever possible.
  • Build confidence and life skills.
  • Facilitate community participation, clubs, friends and family connections.
  • Be understanding, allowing people to take their time and progress at their own pace.
  • Celebrate achievements, no matter how small.
