Work location: Hybrid: in Thame, at home and travelling to support locations where needed. In the Thame office on Mondays & Wednesdays for in-person team days.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 1.15pm (18.75 hours per week)

Salary: £31,156.94 FTE, (pro rata: £15,578.47)

Job Purpose

We are seeking a Part‑Time People and Systems Administrator to deliver efficient and accurate people administration and HR systems support throughout the employee lifecycle at Affinity Trust. The role involves ensuring the smooth execution of people processes and systems, maintaining high‑quality records and data, and providing daily administrative, reporting, and system assistance to colleagues, managers, and the wider People team. You will play a key role in strengthening and integrating our People Operations function—shaping the delivery of HR services, enhancing the colleague experience, and representing our organisation's values in day‑to‑day operations.

What you’ll do

  • Providing people administration support across onboarding, changes to employment, and leavers.
  • Maintaining accurate colleague records and supporting payroll‑related updates.
  • Helping to manage and improve our HR system, including data quality and user support.
  • Producing reports and carrying out checks to make sure our data is accurate, secure, and compliant.
  • Supporting managers and colleagues with day‑to‑day queries in a helpful, professional way.
  • Contributing to process improvements, system developments, and wider People team projects.

About you

  • You’ll have experience in people or HR administration, along with confidence using systems and handling data accurately.
  • You’ll be organised, discreet, and comfortable managing a range of tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • You’ll be confident using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and ideally have experience of iTrent or a similar HR system.
  • You’ll enjoy solving problems, improving processes, and providing a great service to colleagues and managers.
  • You’ll bring a positive, team‑focused approach and share our commitment to inclusion, respect, and doing the right thing.
