Help us make data more reliable, useful and accessible across Affinity Trust. We have invested in a new central datastore. Now we are looking for a Data Manager to help us make the most of it. This is a hands-on technical role where you’ll improve data quality, strengthen governance and help colleagues access trusted insight to make better decisions. Your work will support better reporting, stronger performance insight and improved outcomes for the people we support.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop Affinity Trust’s central datastore and wider data infrastructure.
- Improve data quality, reliability, access and security.
- Support the development of our data strategy and governance approach.
- Translate reporting and business needs into clear technical solutions.
- Oversee data flows, APIs, integrations and supplier delivery.
- Help colleagues understand and use data with confidence.
About you
- Strong experience in data infrastructure, data pipelines or enterprise data environments.
- Good working knowledge of SQL, Microsoft Azure and data warehousing.
- Experience with APIs, systems integration and secure data flows.
- Understanding of data governance, quality standards, GDPR and information security.
- Ability to turn business requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Clear communication skills, including explaining technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.
- Strong problem-solving skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects and deadlines.
- A relevant qualification in data analytics, computer science, statistics or data engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- A values-led approach, with a commitment to listening, learning, collaboration and trying new things.
