Who will I support?
You will be supporting a lady and gentleman in their home in North Walsham, where every day offers the chance to make a positive difference. They enjoy a wide range of activities, from visiting garden centres and charity shops to watching football, going to the cinema, and enjoying theatre trips. They also love keeping active with canoeing, aquafit, dancing, and scenic walks, as well as spending time with family, exploring London on day trips, and making the most of holidays.
In this role, you\βll take the initiative to encourage independence while building a warm and meaningful connection with them.
How will I make a difference?
As a support worker you\βll be there to lend a helping hand in a way that puts the person\βs needs first, this means:
You will adapt your support to fit what each person needs and wants daily.
You will encourage people to make their own choices, big and small.
You will help people to do things themselves to be as independent as possible.
You will support people to build confidence and life skills
You will support people to be a part of their community, joining local clubs and connecting with friends and family.
You will be understanding, allowing people to take their time and do things at their own pace.
