For the role we are looking for someone who is flexible and willing to work across locations in the area of Ilkley, Shipley and Bradford. The shifts will generally include a late shift, sleep in followed by an early shift. This shifts may vary dependent upon place of working and will include some weekend working.

Our approach to support focuses on enabling independence and personal growth. For example, through activities like preparing a sandwich together, we help individuals gain confidence and independence. Our support workers guide them to navigate daily challenges and turn these moments into opportunities for empowerment and personal growth.

Who will I support?

Working with people with Learning Disabilities involves appreciating their own personal journeys. Each day is an opportunity to engage in activities, whether it\’s enjoying a walk in the park, visiting a favourite café, or pursuing personal interests. Your role is to inspire, support and promote independence while building a connection with them.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to individuals to navigate daily challenges and turn moments into opportunities for empowerment and personal growth.
  • Be flexible to work across Ilkley, Shipley and Bradford locations; shifts may include late shifts, sleep-ins and early shifts; some weekend work.
  • Assist with activities that promote independence and social engagement, such as walks, visiting cafés, and pursuing personal interests.
