How you'll make a difference

Support people to enjoy their daily routines and achieve their goals

Build trust, connection, and independence

Work with a compassionate, mindful and dedicated team

As a Support Worker at Affinity Trust, you will make a difference every day, supporting people to live their best lives, giving them confidence and choice. One day, it could be a trip to the supermarket, the next, supporting them in a new hobby. Your support means people can live more independently; in the way they choose. Ultimately, your support gives people the freedom to be themselves. A caring, reliable, and friendly support worker is wanted to provide person-centred support to an individual who enjoys cooking, arts and crafts, and getting out and about in the community. The role involves supporting them to live as independently as possible while encouraging participation in activities they enjoy and helping build confidence in everyday life.

Support will include assistance with day-to-day tasks such as managing post, attending appointments, shopping, meal preparation, and general household organisation, as well as providing some personal care in a respectful and dignified manner.

We provide complete training to enable you to provide the best support you can to people living with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs. However, we know that what is essential is your kindness, energy, and willingness to make someone's day brighter.

Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.
