- Provide essential support to the gentleman in his home during the night, fostering connections and sharing interests
- Build meaningful relationships and offer thoughtful, responsive care
- Adapt support to fit what each person needs and wants daily
- Encourage people to make their own choices, big and small
- Help people do things themselves to be as independent as possible
- Support people to build confidence and life skills
- Support people to be a part of their community by joining local clubs and connecting with friends and family
- Be understanding, allowing people to take their time and do things at their own pace
- Celebrate people’s achievements, no matter how small they might seem to others
