The role is a Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) Practitioner who will work with young people (16+) and adults with learning disabilities and autism to improve their quality of life and prevent admission to a General Adolescent Unit.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized support to young people (16+) and adults to help them build skills for independent living.
- Develop and implement strategies based on inclusion, choice and participation principles.
- Assist families, carers and other professionals in applying and embedding support steps for lasting impact.
- Maintain accurate records and reports to support continuity of care.
- Travel across the area as required, using a personal vehicle.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with young people and adults (16+) with learning disabilities and autism.
- Full UK manual driving licence, access to a vehicle and willingness to travel across the area.
- Sponsorship is not available for this position.
- BTEC Level 4 in Positive Behaviour Support is preferred; non‑holders will be enrolled on the course with support from the employer.
