We are retained by one of the world's most respected names in precision technology to appoint a Business Development Manager/Sales Specialist for the UK and Ireland. This is a rare opportunity to join a global business with 15,000+ employees and €3bn+ turnover at the start of a deliberate market expansion, with a genuinely differentiated product and a strong revenue foundation already in place.
The product is a next-generation security system with a capability that goes well beyond anything currently deployed at scale in the UK market. It is already proven in the most highly regulated security environments globally, and the business is now expanding into new verticals.
The business has an established and well-performing book of business in a highly regulated, established vertical and has recently secured a major new customer in an adjacent sector, a significant milestone that is opening the door to a broader range of high-value accounts. The mandate for this role is to build on that momentum and develop new business across a wider range of security-focused sectors throughout the UK and Ireland.
Target markets:
- Data Centres
- Critical Infrastructure
- Loss Prevention
- High-Footfall Venues
- Policing & Law Enforcement
- Government & Public Sector
- Justice & Defence
- Corporate Security
What we're looking for:
We are interested in speaking with business developers and sales professionals currently working in or selling into:
- Integrated physical security — access control, CCTV, video analytics, perimeter security
- Corporate and enterprise security programmes — government buildings, CNI, high-security facilities
- Data centre and critical infrastructure security
- Loss prevention and security technology for logistics, warehousing and fulfilment environments
- Venue and event security technology
- Security systems integration
Commercially, this is a strong proposition:
- Six to seven-figure deal values
- Sales cycles of 12–24 months across security, facilities, procurement and executive stakeholders
- Strong regulatory and compliance procurement drivers
- Integration into wider security infrastructure programmes
- Significant aftermarket and service revenue alongside the capital sale
Experience required:
- Minimum 5 years B2B sales in security technology or a related high-tech industry
- Proven track record of opening new accounts and exceeding targets
- Ideally a degree in engineering or a related technical field
- Willingness to travel regularly across the UK and Ireland
- Willingness to obtain UK Security Clearance to SC level
What's on offer:
- Very competitive base salary + several performance related bonuses
- Extensive training and development
- Company car/car allowance
- Private Medical
Location: Home-based with preferred proximity to the South of England.
