We are seeking a driven and commercially astute LPG Shipbroker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong commercial relationships, negotiating fixtures, and providing highâquality market insights to clients and owners within the global LPG shipping sector. This role requires a proactive individual with strong communication skills, a solid understanding of the LPG markets, and the ability to thrive in a fastâpaced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Commercial Brokerage & Negotiation
- Source, negotiate, and conclude LPG spot and term charter fixtures between shipowners and charterers.
- Manage the full broking process, including negotiation of charterparty terms, followâup, and postâfixture support.
- Proactively identify new cargo and tonnage opportunities to maximise commercial outcomes for clients.
- Client Relationship Management
- Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, charterers, operators, and traders in the LPG sector.
- Act as a trusted point of contact, delivering highâquality service and timely market information.
- Expand and leverage your network to generate new business opportunities and support longâterm growth.
- Monitor global LPG markets, fleet movements, freight levels, supply/demand dynamics, and emerging trends.
- Prepare and deliver timely market updates, insights, and strategic recommendations to clients.
- Evaluate market risks and opportunities to support informed decisionâmaking.
- Operational Support
- Liaise closely with operations teams' postâfixture to ensure smooth execution of contracts.
- Resolve operational or contractual issues promptly, mitigating commercial or reputational risk.
- Maintain clear communication between counterparties throughout the charter lifecycle.
- Work collaboratively with global broking teams to maximise crossâmarket opportunities.
- Share market intelligence internally and contribute to team strategy and business development initiatives.
- Uphold the company's professional standards, values, and commitment to client service.
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in LPG broking or another competitive chartering/broking market.
- Strong understanding of the LPG shipping markets, including chartering, operations, and risk management fundamentals.
- Proven commercial instinct, supported by confident communication, relationshipâbuilding, and problemâsolving skills.
- An existing network within the LPG community, with the ability to leverage relationships to drive commercial success.
