We’re working with one of the largest merchant services providers in the UK to recruit high-performing field-based Card Payment Specialists. This field‑based role covers a designated territory, focused on supporting small‑to‑medium‑sized businesses by upgrading their card‑payment solutions. The company provides modern, broadband‑enabled and contactless payment technology with competitive, capped rental pricing for the duration of the contract.
Role Overview
As a Card Payment Specialist, you will attend pre‑booked appointments generated by an internal telesales team, while also proactively identifying additional opportunities through in‑field prospecting and cold calling to maximise sales and earnings.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend up to 5 appointments per day, primarily pre‑qualified and booked by a telesales team
- Perform cold calling in the field to generate additional appointments and sales
- Achieve a minimum of 5 card terminal sales per week
- Visit a wide range of small‑to‑medium‑sized businesses including retailers, hairdressers, restaurants, pubs, car dealerships, and clothing stores
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective merchants
- Deliver professional, needs‑based sales presentations
- Maximise revenue and personal commission on every sale
- Generate referrals from existing merchants
- Accurately complete and submit all required paperwork and activity records daily
- Work towards agreed daily, weekly, and monthly targets
- Develop and implement a personal sales strategy with support from your line manager
Earnings & Performance
Average performers earn approximately ÂŁ85,000 per year. Top performers earn well above ÂŁ100,000, with the highest earner earning over ÂŁ200,000 last year. Uncapped commission structure with full training and ongoing support.

- Experience in field sales, B2B sales, or merchant services (preferred but not essential)
- Comfortable with pre‑booked appointments and in‑field prospecting
