Affinity Partnerships are seeking compassionate and dedicated Autism Support Workers to join a welcoming Special Educational Needs (SEN) School. The school supports pupils aged 4-18 years with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) and other complex learning needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of children by helping them develop confidence, independence and essential life skills.
The Role
- Supporting pupils with autism and additional learning needs in the classroom and around the school
- Assisting with personal care where required, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
- Supporting pupils during mealtimes
- Providing physical support, including moving and handling where necessary
- Promoting independence, confidence and positive behaviours
- Building strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff
- Helping to create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
