Affinity Partnerships are seeking compassionate and dedicated Autism Support Workers to join a welcoming Special Educational Needs (SEN) School. The school supports pupils aged 4-18 years with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) and other complex learning needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of children by helping them develop confidence, independence and essential life skills.

The Role

  • Supporting pupils with autism and additional learning needs in the classroom and around the school
  • Assisting with personal care where required, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
  • Supporting pupils during mealtimes
  • Providing physical support, including moving and handling where necessary
  • Promoting independence, confidence and positive behaviours
  • Building strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Helping to create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
