Affinity Partnerships are looking for an experienced Qualified Teacher to work in a Primary School. We welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers or final year students. We are seeking an enthusiastic teacher who would be excited to teach a modified curriculum to an amazing group of individuals, throughout key stages 1 and 2.

The ideal candidate will:

  • QTS or QTLS
  • Have the ability to teach primary pupils
  • Knowledge of secondary age curriculum expectations
  • Be able to teach a variety of subjects including English and Maths
  • Be highly organized with excellent communication skills
  • Have a desire to work with, inspire and support children from all needs and backgrounds
  • Understand the expectations against the Teachers Standards

Main Responsibilities:

  • Teaching a variety of subjects to primary pupils
  • Planning lessons and activities for whole class learning and group learning
  • Supporting SEND children with their work in a class setting
  • Managing difficult behaviours and implementing the school behaviour policy
  • Safeguarding vulnerable pupils
  • Possible supervising on lunch and break times
  • Supporting and managing teaching assistants within the classroom
  • Building relationships with staff and pupils
  • Collecting evidence of pupils work to support their assessments
  • Feedback to the relevant member of staff about the pupils progress
  • To have pastoral responsibility for a group of pupils
  • Potentially lead in a subject area
  • Ensure a team approach to education with stakeholders such as parents and carers
