As a Trust, our vision is to be an organisation where everyone belongs, progresses and thrives. This takes strategic thinking, dedication and, above all else, a partnership approach.

We are seeking volunteers with the skills and enthusiasm to effectively gather assurances on behalf of the Trust Board around the effectiveness of our schools in delivering that vision. This is a rewarding role that provides an excellent opportunity for personal and professional development.

We Are Looking For Volunteers With:

  • A strong commitment to the role and the Trust's purpose;
  • The inquisitiveness to question and analyse;
  • The willingness to learn;
  • Good interpersonal skills.

Local Governors are required to attend up to 6 meetings per academic year, outside of the school day, along with occasional visits to the school.

We currently have vacancies at the following locations:

  • The Pingle Academy, Swadlincote
  • Richard Wakefield Primary, Tutbury
  • Eton Park Junior Academy, Burton-upon-Trent
  • Lansdowne Infants Academy, Burton-upon-Trent
  • Horninglow Primary, Burton-upon-Trent

Full induction, training and support will be given.
