Affinity is seeking an experienced and proactive Interim Compliance Monitoring Manager to lead and develop our internal compliance monitoring systems on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract (FTC), ensuring we meet and exceed the requirements of our CAA Approvals and ISO Accreditation. This is a pivotal role within the organisation, offering the opportunity to influence best practice, liaise with regulatory authorities, and drive continuous improvement across our compliance and quality functions.

About the Role

As an Interim Compliance Monitoring Manager, you will oversee the organisation’s compliance monitoring systems, ensuring regulatory alignment and operational excellence. You will be the focal point for all compliance-related engagement with the CAA and other accreditation bodies, as well as supporting contractor audits, internal auditing activity, and staff authorisation processes. You will have unrestricted access to the Accountable Manager, providing regular updates and strategic insight on compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain the organisation’s internal compliance monitoring system.
  • Conduct internal and external audits in line with the Audit Programme.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance across both Civil and Military aviation requirements.
  • Manage the certification and authorisation framework for Part 145 staff.
  • Liaise effectively with the CAA, MAA, customers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Support development and amendment of company procedures, manuals, and regulatory documents.
  • Provide regular reporting to the Accountable Manager.
  • Support governance meetings and ensure alignment with safety, compliance, and quality standards.
  • Champion continuous improvement and foster a proactive compliance culture.

We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Strong experience within an ISO 9001:2015 compliance or quality environment.
  • Solid auditing experience including root cause analysis.
  • Experience within a multi-platform Compliance Monitoring environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of aviation regulation relating to Continuing Airworthiness.
  • Aircraft maintenance experience in a line or base environment.
  • Ability to plan, organise, communicate, and engage effectively at all levels.
  • Experience supporting, motivating, and developing team capability.
  • Experience using Centrik software.

Essential Qualifications

  • Eligibility to hold a UK CAA Nominated Post Holder position (Part 145 & Part CAMO).
  • Recognised auditing qualification (preferably IRCA ISO 9001:2015).
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Occurrence Review Group training.
  • Maintenance Error Investigator training.
  • Recognised MRP Part 145 training.
  • Strong working knowledge of legislation relating to company approvals.
  • Detailed understanding of auditing techniques, human factors and safety risk, Part M, Part 145, Part CAMO, Part ML, Part 66 & Part 147, MRP Part 145 quality systems and documentation.
  • Ability to identify unsafe conditions and ensure corrective action.
  • Experience working within geographically dispersed technical teams.
  • A proactive, flexible, and detail-oriented approach.

  • Must have resided in the UK continuously for the past 3 years.
