We are looking for a highly skilled Damage Component Asset & Process Lead to join our Delivery team. This role is central to optimising our aircraft component lifecycle, managing damage‐related events, and driving targeted and damage related, continuous improvement across engineering, operations, commercial and finance functions.
You will be responsible for identifying and analysing components affected by damage and usage, producing engineering damage reports, and coordinating the enterprise damage recovery process. This position is ideal for an analytical, detail‐focused individual with strong aviation experience and a passion for operational excellence. This role will be based at RAF Valley, with a significant amount of travel required to RAF Cranwell and RAF Barkston Heath.
Key Responsibilities- Manage full lifecycle of assigned high‐value aircraft components, including spares utilisation associated with damage, and analysis, demand forecasting, and usage optimisation of those components.
- Monitor component trends and collaborate with Procurement, Operations, Maintenance, CAMO, Commercial, and Finance teams to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Support budget holders in forecasting and managing capital and operational expenditure.
- Identify, analyse, and maintain records of aircraft damage events.
- Produce detailed engineering reports for technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Maintain a centralised damage log and provide regular reporting to support risk assessments and improvements.
- Support internal teams in the enterprise damage process.
- Manage external and internal stakeholders, including technical and commercial meetings, reports, and ad hoc communications.
- Qualification in aviation operations, aeronautical engineering, or related discipline.
- Certification in asset management or maintenance planning (e.g., IAM, EASA Part 66).
- Training or accreditation in aviation maintenance or asset management systems.
- Effective communicator with strong collaboration skills.
- Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail.
- Proactive problem‐solver committed to continuous improvement.
- Strong stakeholder management across diverse technical and commercial groups.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
