Deputy Manager Position
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Deputy Manager to work in our 2 bed therapeutic children's home, with the support of the Dual homes Registered Manager. The Deputy Manager is to maintain high-quality care and ensure our young people’s well-being adheres to our mission of safety and development together with supporting our dedicated team at Affinity Children’s Care Ltd.
Roles of Responsibilities
- Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations of the residential facility.
- Support the implementation of care plans tailored to each young person’s needs.
- Attend professional multi-agency meetings.
- Supervise and lead care staff to ensure high standards of care.
- Carry out supervisions.
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding policies.
- Contribute to staff training and development initiatives.
- Monitor the well-being of young people and respond appropriately to their needs.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to care activities.
- Promote a positive, nurturing environment that fosters growth and resilience.
- On call rota (out of hours), every 5 weeks to provide emergency support and guidance to the team.
Qualifications and Experience
- Level 4 Children Young People and Families Practitioner, Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care are essential and must have experience working with children.
- Proven supervisory or management experience within a residential or care setting.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills (2 years preferred).
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and regulatory standards.
- Excellent communication skills with children, families, professional bodies and team members.
- Experience with care planning and implementing policies.
- Compassionate approach tailored to vulnerable young people.
Full UK driving licence is required for this position.
