We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of an established and reputable children's residential care provider, seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead their solo-placement home located in Devizes (SN10) area. This is an incredible opportunity to take ownership of a well-supported, well-resourced children's home while also positioning yourself for growth, as the role will transition into a dual-home Registered Manager position over the coming months. You will work closely with the Responsible Individual and Director, who are deeply invested in supporting the home's success and your ongoing development.

Your Role

  • As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the leadership, development, and regulatory compliance of the home, ensuring that every young person receives exceptional, child-centred care.
  • Provide strong, nurturing leadership for the staff team and promote high standards of practice.
  • Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, including achieving positive inspection outcomes.
  • Oversee day-to-day running of the service, safeguarding, staffing, and care delivery.
  • Support and develop a team of support workers, including recruitment, supervision, and training.
  • Create and maintain robust care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and home operations effectively.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and be available in emergencies.
  • Work collaboratively with the Responsible Individual, Director, social workers, and external professionals.
  • Prepare for transitioning into a dual-home management role as the organisation expands.

Qualifications

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Children's Residential Care (or working towards/near completion).
  • Strong experience within children's residential settings (EBD, trauma-informed, or similar).
  • Good understanding of Ofsted frameworks and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and develop staff.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • Confident, resilient, and committed to achieving excellent outcomes for young people.
