Location: Marple, Stockport (SK2)

Salary: Up to £58,000

Base Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 (Depending on Experience)

Outstanding Ofsted Bonus: £3,000

Good Ofsted Bonus: £1,500

We are recruiting an experienced Registered Manager to lead a well-established 4-bedded EBD children's home in Marple, Stockport. The home currently supports three children (two boys and one girl) in a safe, nurturing environment that values therapeutic, trauma-informed care. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a service with strong senior leadership backing and deliver exceptional outcomes for young people.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Previously held Ofsted registration within the last 2 years in children's homes
  • Level 5 qualified (or working towards)
  • Strong safeguarding and regulatory knowledge
  • Confident leading registration and inspections
  • Committed to therapeutic, trauma-informed care

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the children's home
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted standards and all regulatory requirements
  • Lead and support the team to deliver high-quality care
  • Drive continuous improvement and maintain excellent care standards
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and external agencies

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager in a children's residential setting
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People) or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted frameworks and safeguarding legislation
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)
