This is an exciting opportunity to lead a brand-new service from the ground up, with full autonomy to shape the culture, build a strong team, and deliver exceptional outcomes for young people. You will be supported by an organisation dedicated to providing outstanding care and making a real difference in the lives of children.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the setup and Ofsted registration of a new childrens home
- Lead and manage day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest standards of care and safeguarding
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff, fostering a positive and professional team culture
- Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each child's needs
- Maintain effective communication with children, families, staff, and external agencies
- Monitor staff performance and provide ongoing support and development
- Manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
Requirements
- Proven experience in a management role within a childrens residential setting
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People) or equivalent (ESSENTIAL)
- Strong understanding of Ofsted frameworks and safeguarding legislation
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence & access to a vehicle
- Enhanced DBS check (must be on the update service or willing to obtain)
- Right to work full-time in the UK
