Aspiring Psychologists - Paid Graduate Psychology Internship with Affiniti+ Ltd. To start from September 1st 2025. One year contract. Affiniti+ Ltd is excited to announce a 2 days (14 hours) paid internship for 1 aspiring psychologist who is passionate about making mental health and neurodiversity a mainstream conversation. This post is open to recent graduates in psychology who have a strong interest to pursue a career in clinical psychology. Based in the vibrant community of Royal Arsenal, Woolwich, SE18, we offer the opportunity to flourish in a dynamic and supportive environment.

You will also be given study leave as appropriate in proportion to the number of hours you are working with us.
This placement aims to strengthen applications for a number of prequalified psychological professional roles i.e. assistant psychologist, graduate mental health worker, psychological wellbeing practitioner (PWP) and many more, that routinely lead to a place on clinical doctoral programmes. Both of our current interns have successfully secured significant positions. One has been appointed as an Assistant Psychologist at Affiniti+, while the other has secured a full-time position as an Assistant Educational Psychologist. You are in a safe pair of hands when you join us. You will receive an induction appropriate to your role and Affiniti+. You will receive supervision and line management throughout your placement.
Core Responsibilities:
- Clinical administration: You’ll be a welcoming face at Affiniti+, managing client relations and ensuring smooth operational flow from the front desk.
- Service responsibilities: Development and maintenance of a digital resource hub/electronic health records and help measure outcomes to enhance service delivery and client engagement.
- Research, audit and service evaluation: Taking a lead in thinking through the impact of Affiniti+ has had since opening its door in 2024 with the aim of publishing our findings.
- Clinical support: Under supervision to co-facilitate groups, training and workshops on a range of mental health and neurodiverse topics pertinent to clients and organisations. Support neurodevelopmental assessments, observe assessments, optimising processes, and report writing for conditions like ADHD and ASD. Support the development of post-diagnostic resources, psychoeducation with children and adults. Possibility of providing therapy with a client presenting with mental health difficulties relevant for pre-qualified psychologists' capabilities.

We are looking for aspiring psychologists with a clearly communicated interest in this field.
Essential Skills:
- Adaptability, proactivity and resilience in a dynamic environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are necessary.
- A high standard of report writing.
- Excellent interpersonal skills as you will be working with colleagues, clients and may be directly liaising with a number of diverse organisations.
- The ability to work well in a team or independently.
- Experience in developing and using databases to support analysis and make sense of this that is accessible to everyone.
- Proficient in using R Studio or SPSS, Google Workspace, Transcription software such as Notta.ai and other relevant software.
Desired Experience:
- Experience working with people with mental health problems and neurodiversity, in clinical, research and voluntary settings, or in similar roles is highly valued.
- Experience in the health sector is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Well-rounded - have interests, pursuits that inspire and make you who you are.
Compensation:
- £13.85 per hour
- £500 budget for training and development opportunities.
- 25 days of annual leave with additional 8 days of bank holidays.

Requirements:
- A first or upper second class undergraduate degree in psychology that is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), providing eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC).
- Or relevant postgraduate qualifications or conversion courses at the MSc or PGDip level.
- Eligibility for work in the UK.
- A successful Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check prior to commencement.
- Interest in pursuing a career in clinical psychology and/or other professional psychology related areas.
